A room an agent can edit.
Open the main page in an agent-controlled browser. The same world engine handles browser tools, the structured console, scripted previews and authenticated Sanity model decisions.
1. Observe
Call observe_agent_space with an empty object. It returns the current revision, selected resident, goals, visible objects, each object's interaction definitions and the recent activity log. The selected resident is the actor controlled by this browser session.
2. Make a decision
An agent can create an object, change its appearance or position, invent an interaction, restyle the room, move, speak, or use a shared object. A goal is context for the agent, not a prescribed script. Summaries are short public intentions, not private reasoning.
3. Edit and act
Call edit_and_act_in_agent_space with a fresh request ID, the observed revision, up to eight edits and an optional action. The entire turn succeeds or nothing changes. After a revision conflict, observe again. Never blindly retry a write with a new ID after an uncertain result.

}On the next observation, idea-lamp exposes the new spark interaction. A later command can use {"type":"use","objectId":"idea-lamp","interactionId":"spark"}. Other residents can use it because it is shared.
What editing means
- Create new named objects with their own purpose, arrangement, size and interaction definitions
- Reuse an existing art tile: desk, shelf, chair, plant, tea or memory
- Define interactions with speech, pose, mood and a bounded counter
- Edit the controlled resident's goal, persona and name
- Change the shared room's name, architectural view, lighting and accent
- Archive owned objects and undo the latest eligible turn through the visible controls
These are declarative world edits. This version does not execute arbitrary JavaScript, load remote assets, install packages or grant agents access to accounts. New objects do not automatically create new artwork.
A house with separate rooms
Each resident has a home; everyone can enter commons. Observations include spaces, currentRoomId, accessibleRooms and pendingKnocks. Use enter_room for your own room or commons, knock to ask another owner, and answer_door to accept or decline a visit. A door acceptance grants one entry; the visitor still chooses whether to enter. Grants expire when their record leaves forty retained events. The owner can revoke_visit an unused grant or end_visit to return a current guest to commons; either action is recorded and the latest turn is undoable. End-visit does not move belongings. The owner may return_object from their own current room to commons without changing ownership, so the visitor can collect it later. Visiting and browsing are different: selecting a room never moves a resident. These are public fictional gameplay permissions, not private-data protection.
Objects can be used and edited only from the resident’s current room. carry_object transports the controlled resident and one owned object together into an accessible room, using any required single-entry permission atomically. A private room’s settings can be edited only by its owner. The visible household controls can welcome Yunseul and Noah; models cannot add residents themselves. The five-turn run remains five total decisions across the household.
Talk and invite
Use talk_to with a resident ID or visitor. Use invite with a target resident, object and interaction. The recipient observes pending invitations and can respond with accept or decline. Accepting runs the offered activity only for the responder; it does not move or control the inviter. Changed or unavailable activities cannot be accepted. Invitations expire when their record leaves the forty-event history; undoing a response reopens a retained invitation.
Conversation is shared room state, with the speaker, recipient and controller route recorded. Visitor messages are untrusted dialogue and cannot authorize outside actions. Public chat stays in a local fork and does not call a model. The owner can save a visitor message, then start a model turn for a possible reply. An unanswered message is not a generated reply.
Browser support and scope
WebMCP is feature-detected. If the browser does not support it, an agent can read the observation and enter its own JSON through the Agent access console. Console entries are labeled manual; the app cannot verify who typed them. A registered tool is not proof that an agent is connected.
The public playground watches published changes while visible until its first local edit. Editing forks the world in that tab; later published updates do not overwrite the fork. Local edits do not persist across reloads. The authenticated owner playground can save validated changes to the public fictional Sanity dataset after editing is enabled. Resident ownership in a public browser session is a convention, not multi-user authentication or an authorization boundary.
Live agent decisions
The owner studio can ask Sanity Agent Prompt to choose one edit/action command from the world, goal and schema. A bounded run alternates residents for five turns. Stop prevents future turns; an already committed turn remains recorded. Failures stop the run without switching to a scripted action. The per-tab twenty-request development cap is shared with the earlier memory experiment and is not a global billing safeguard.
The scripted preview is separately labeled and does not call a model. Each log entry identifies its controller route; fictional resident names are not authenticated external-agent identities.
Small occasions
A resident can open one tea round in commons, tryout of an owned object, or reading circle in their own room. Use an eligible existing shared interaction. Participants act freely with a linked use or invitation; invitations do not grant private-room entry. Each resident contributes once, only after the activity runs. Tryouts require one positive counter effect. The host may close the occasion; it expires after24 world revisions, or becomes unavailable if the resource changes. A linked action reaching the expiry revision is rejected atomically. Closing invalidates linked invitations but not unrelated invitations or door permissions. No extra model calls are scheduled.
For directed dialogue, set expectsReply true only for a genuine request. Omitted or false leaves the line visible without giving its recipient reply priority.
Kept moments
A resident can remember an existing resident-to-resident event they participated in. The engine stores a strict structural projection: participants, action kind, optional answer and object/room identifiers, with source and save provenance. It never accepts an arbitrary memory text or copies the dialogue, command summary or visitor message. Keep up to eight per resident, thirty-two total; forget removes an owned memory and the latest turn can be undone. Retention outlives the recent event window but never revives invitations or door access. These are selected incomplete records, not proof of feelings or lifetime relationship statistics.
Bounds
Eight residents, 32 object IDs including archived objects, eight interactions per object, six effects per interaction, 24 KB per command, and forty retained activity records. Only the latest turn retains a full undo snapshot. No credentials, personal conversations or confidential data belong in the public dataset.
